So, here's what's going on:
I was accepted to participate in the National Music Festival this summer! It's two weeks in Maryland and I leave on Tuesday. I'm extremely excited because this means I'll be able to see a lot of FSU friends and play some great music. I'll be coming back to AZ, then back to the east coast for a family thing in New York in July. THEN our clarinet studio is going to ClarinetFest in August, for free, because so many of you donated to help 40 of us get there.
It's going to be a busy summer full of awesome shit.
Most of you already know this, but I will officially be staying at ASU for the next few years to pursue a doctorate of musical arts. I'm also keeping my clarinet teaching assistantship. I get to harass my students and professors for a little while longer! Naturally, I'm thrilled. I love it here so much and am really looking forward to staying.
Dan and I are moving in together this summer! There are a lot of details that are between me and him and we know it's a big deal for us, so that's all I'll say about that. It's going to be great and I love that guy.
Moving in with Dan is a little bittersweet because he is insanely allergic to Joon. This means that Joon will be moving to Florida to live with Rebecca. I will be taking her to Florida before going to Maryland. Joon doesn't know yet because she's a cat, but Rebecca is very excited. I will miss Joon so much. It hurts to think about it. But Dan is my person and I know that this choice will make me happy. I'm sorry if you think I'm a jerk or whatever, but frankly it is my life and that is that. Joon will be very loved with Rebecca and her roommates, she will give Rebecca a lot of snugs, and you KNOW we will be face timing a lot. I'm happy that Joon will stay in the family.
So this is my life now, and I am so happy. I am so excited for what's in store, and that I get to do life with Dan right now. What a treat.
Hope you're all well, peeps.
