Slices of Life

It's cactus bloom season, because my allergies say so! This little bud didn't quite make it, but it's still got some time. You never know. Also, yes, Joon has figured out where I keep my hair ties and knows just where to go to get them out: into my make up bag. It's fine.

A cool guy in the studio had his recital at a jazz club in downtown Phoenix. He served food and we ate while he played. It was extremely awesome. All recitals should be like that! And downtown Phoenix is also very cool.
Messy's recital was last weekend--so fun! I had such a blast playing for her recital.
I dunno, it's just a cute dress and a cute phone case, indulge me. My house is a mess, my brain is running on empty, but I'm in the home stretch! I went to three clarinet recitals yesterday, we're recording for a competition tonight, and my recital is in less than a week! AH.

Hope you had a good weekend!

Spring Break 2015

Hello again. I shoved all of my photos from over Spring Break into this one post. I know, I'm sorry, but it just didn't feel necessary to split up, after Harry Potter World. And there are a lot of photos of my face because Rebecca had my camera for a while.
As you know, Spring Training is a family tradition. I was lucky enough to make it to THREE games in my four days at home! Haha! Rebecca had a photo assignment for a class, and made me her subject. Some of the shots are pretty great *hair flip*
All that food was mine.
Kidding, it was for all four of us.
How cute is my family?!?!?! (v cute) She also took some of me clarinet, so, I don't know. These are obviously posed, but that was intentional.
Then, back to Arizona for me. Right off the bat, my friend Nayoung and I went to this insane Toms warehouse sale. I'd never been to a warehouse sale before--it was nuts. And rather fun.
I feel the need to clarify that the "7" shoes we bought were between the two of us...I got a pair of sandals, and some Toms for my Mom.

I also got to spend some time that day with Messy and our friend Elizabeth's pooches. They are so cute!!!!
THEN. Allison came to Arizona. And all was right in my world. I took her to the Botanical Gardens. I hadn't been since my audition last year.
I love her.
We ALSO got to see Rodger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella. Allison even got her ticket for free because it was literally the last ticket (the show was sold out).
We also went hiking and snuggled my cat.
As if I didn't miss her enough before, right? Getting back into school has been nuts--Messy's recital was this past Saturday (I played in it, so fun) and every week until MY recital is full of rehearsals and going to OTHER people's's just, crazy. It's crazy. But the good kind, I think ;)

So. As you may have read, or heard me talking about for weeks prior, or the days since, I went to Harry Potter World over my few days at home.
My Mom and I looked into our ticket options and we decided that in order to make the most of our time in the parks, we'd stay in one of Universal's hotels. This way, we could get into one of the Harry Potter parks a full hour earlier.
The hotel, Cabana Bay, was SO F-ING CUTE. I kept saying how I felt like I was in The Jetson's. I loved it. And they have a shuttle to the park, so at 7:30am we were in line at Islands of Adventure, waiting to get into Hogsmeade!!!
That was the line to get in. Even at 8am!!
We rode all of the rides in Hogsmeade, and then were on the first Hogwarts Express to Diagon Alley (the new park in Universal Studios). Do I sound like a dweeb?
Selfie with a Gringotts goblin (Mom loves selfies). Also, the holograms in these rides at Harry Potter World are AMAZING. It's like we were in the movie.
The infamous fire breathing dragon atop Gringotts. And the ice cream parlor has some DELICIOUS and unique flavors. We got ice cream after meeting up with Logan and Corinne and co. and Logan and I both had Earl Grey/Lavender and Chocolate Raspberry--so. good.
I mean, I have nothing bad to say about Harry Potter World. It was the best day ever.
ALSO. I am so lucky because I got to see SO MANY friends this day. We spent the day with Logan, Corinne, and Corinne's boyfriend John. THEN we met up with Jesse and Casey. And then had dinner with Jesse, Casey, and Scott. I mean...
Have I mentioned that it was the best day ever?

Thank you, Momma, for making it all happen. I am so, so lucky.
