A few weeks ago we were really into this "making our own pizza" thing. It was awesome. It still is, we've just gotten too busy to take the time to do it more recently (it's kind of time consuming). Anyway, we like very different things with pizza, so we made individual pizza pockets instead.
What you'll need:
Pizza dough (we bought ours from Publix, since I don't know how to make bread...yet)
(at Publix you can choose from Italian or sour dough...both are good, but personally I prefer the sour dough)
Marinara sauce (we used Bertolli jarred sauce)
Pizza toppings, to your preference: I like vegetables (peppers, broccoli, mushrooms, etc.) and he likes meat (sausage, pepperoni, and oh yeah, PINEAPPLES)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees as you are prepping the "toppings".
Place your toppings, spaced appropriately, on the rolled out pizza dough. You can also just cut off chunks of dough, roll them out, and make the pizza pockets individually.
Fold up your pizza pockets.
Cut them apart from the rest of the dough.
Bake for approximately 30mins at 350 degrees.
Let them cool before eating!
They look a little weird, I'll give you that, but they tasted awesome!
